With over 25 years of experience, VALAR Consulting Engineering has provided structural consulting services that industry professionals have used to help launch their projects and keep them under budget and on time. VALAR takes a multi-step - iterative approach to structural design, which includes a full understanding of key project factors. Our diverse background with all types of projects and delivery methods helps us hit the ground running regardless of the type and scale of a project.

VALAR Volunteers
VALAR has a passion for the local community, sharing lessons and experiences with others to help foster the built environment. VALAR has volunteered time as mentors to students and adjunct professor at the University of Portland, Portland State University and University of Oregon. As a member of the architecture foundation of oregon (afo), VALAR has volunteered time for the Architects in School (AiS) program sharing knowledge and experience with children and their teachers in Oregon. As well as sharing in Career Day in multiple districts across the State of Oregon.

We encourage and look for open direct dialogue, including the owner, to facilitate the entire design and construction process.
We evaluate the schedule, material types, sources, and market trends early to initiate the process of selecting a structural system.
Critical site limitations such as soil conditions, architectural, electrical, and plumbing constraints are factored into the final decision of a system.
One we select the system and design, the final contracted delivery is an ongoing process to continue moving forward.
