With over 26 years of experience, Bassam’s work encompasses many recognizable tall multi-family residential, office and educational projects across the West Coast.  Specializing in high-rise towers, Bassam can navigate the nuances of code guidelines to produce valuable solutions that meet clients’ goals.  Having worked with a breadth of project types and materials, including mass timber, Bassam approaches project challenges with a holistic perspective, demonstrating his depth of knowledge at every project stage.  Bassam is a versatile engineer who works diligently to build trust across project teams. 

He has established an exemplary reputation for engineering efficient, constructible designs collaboratively to realize the best solution for each project. Approachable and patient, Bassam mentors young engineers in navigating the rigors of the profession and has taught structural engineering at the University of Portland.
